If were going to give Saban credit for Les early success then the same principal should be applied to Gerry for Sabans success. Look at those early LSU rosters they were filled with Dinardo recruits and players...Dinardo would have been at LSU longer had he removed Tepper, then LSU would have never gotten Les and Saban ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Its more than that. Its what Saban did outside the lines that made a difference. I am not sure why nobody in this thread will understand this. YES. Saban had some players to work with. Look at what he did the 1st year. from a crap team to a bowl team. and brought fans back into the stands. The TENN game and the MSU game that year were some of the best games in TS history. And it rolled on from there.
