I don't care about not being first, but I think people are flat-out lying to themselves if they now say that they would have said in 2004 that they would be happy if Saban's replacement won only 2 SEC championships in the next 10 seasons.

Excuses, Reasons, explanations: they are al the same. In team sports, there can only be one champion. I am quite comfortable knowing that my Alma Mater is competing for championships and winning 10 plus games a year.
Not good enough b/c many in our fan base actually believe they could do better than Les. Once you reach that point the town on reason is far away in the rear view.

The post was laid out to show how close all of our games are, even when we lose.
And that's fine. The 2011 and 2013 Bama games were not close. And losing to a depleted Ole Miss team was horrible. Losing to UGA was not a problem to me.

There are a ton of fans out there that would love to have what we have.

It's a sign of your argument's weakness when you create straw men to fight.

Impressive retort.

You try way too hard to miss the point.
Dont take things I post so personal.
Its ok if mediocre is acceptable in your life.
It takes all kinds.

thats cool and all...but are you going to address my post? because if thats your criteria you should just stop being a fan of sports
but i understand....some people hate Miles so they prop up these impossible goals that nobody can meet to make themselves feel better.

where is the bar for you as a fan?
Excellent question for all of us to consider.
Post BCS, what will be acceptable to you as an LSU fan?
Post BCS and the next 5 years?
a)win a championship
b)win multiple championships
c)make the playoffs 1 of 5
d)make the playoffs 2 of 5
e)make the playoffs 3 of 5
f)other

Yeah, the Bama game last years was not close. The instant change in momentum was something we never recovered from..
The Ole Miss game was absolute disaster. I feel we will see the same sort of lackluster play by the 1st defense as long as Welter is the man in the middle.
We couldn't stop Georgia or Ole Miss from running the ball. Beckwith is so much better than Welter it is unreal.
Is this a Chavis call, or a Les Miles call? I do not know.
P.S.2.
Also, through me in the ranks of those that thought that Barrow was majorly overrated.
Clifton Garrett walks onto campus with more talent than Welter. My biggest gripe, coaching wise, has been the selection of the starting LB's.
Alexander has been a standout since day one. Louis should turn heads this year. We have the talent in place, but we are sitting them in place of experienced mediocre players. Welter has started for a full season and I can't recall one memorable play the guy made. Get Welter outta there.

Problems is, Saban’s recent run of success makes some spolied little bitch arse sidewalk losers in LSU tshirts feel less about the head man of the football team who represents the school that they didn't quite have the chest to attend.

quote:Buy some red tshirts. Nobody needs you. If you're anti-Miles, you're anti-LSU. He's the best ever at LSU, and if that doesn't please you, LSU football will never make you happy. Elephants are fine animals, and Alabama has a fine program. I urge you to begin walking on their sidewalk and leave ours alone.
You should post more. Clearly one of your posts couldn't have covered all of the mind blowing knowledge you felt the need to drop.

Some of you clearly are ok with second or third place.
I'm guessing Les has more national titles than you have credit hours.

So if I think Saban was a better coach at LSU because of what he did here on and off the field, I am anti-Miles and anti-LSU? I am a great LSU fan and if I want to be critical of our current coach I can and will. He is a great coach and as of now there is not another coach in the country I would want.[Saban ]included.

I love this line of thinking.
It's what people post when they have nothing left.
As if it holds first bit of fricking relevance.

I don't hate Les at all.... Keep posting it though.
Impossible goals to be #1?
Change your username to the born loser.
More fitting.

wow...you're on fire today
why do you root for any sports team if your only measurement of success is being #1...and if you're not #1 you're mediocre?
Posted on 7/16/14 at 11:22 am to ballscaster
I'm not anti-Miles. I just believe that Saban is better. If you don't believe that, then you can't be helped.

Can't wait for the season to start so ya'll will stop giving your stupid opinions out

I still give them out in season too. So you're in luck.
