USA: Dempseys early goal. Set the tone, and I felt like 4 years worth of questions were answered.
International: Spain getting demolished. I was dead certain Brazil wasn't getting past Columbia, so I wasn't terribly surprised by Germany crushing Brazil other than the score line.
On the other hand, Spain's super team getting embarrassed blew my mind. Three trophies, world class players at every position, dominance of la liga last year, plus a true number 9 made me think they would cakewalk to the semis and probably win the whole thing.
They then decided to get embarrassed not in the semis, but the group stages.
Honorable mention Gotze.

There were so many fantastic games this WC. I'll remember this cup as being the most entertaining of our lifetime.
