I just started the book, it's pretty cool as well.
I like the show and want to see what is up with the Vampire-vampire hunter. I call him Albino-Blade.

Well it's obvious they are using the basis for the original vampire story written in competition with Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
And I am already seeing the foreshadowings of a virus re-animating dead flesh.
My theory is Eph's son dies and Eph becomes obsessed with the virus and re-animating his son to life.
Think about it - they call him EPH. It stands out. Doctor F - ie Dr. Frankenstein.
Also, his last name is "good" weather which is ironic considering the bad weather Frankenstein needs for his experiments.
