The coveted "bigger" corner

I was raving about Stanley Jean-Baptiste's size at work last Friday and my boss immediately shut down my rant, saying that most "bigger" corners, those who are as tall or taller than than 6'1 and who weigh more than 195 lbs, were mostly busts.
He then went on to add that most of the elite corners in tNFL are typically-sized, meaning around 5'10 and 185 lbs.
Is this true? Is the myth of talented, "bigger" corners true?

The back shoulder throw has become such a go to offensive weapon that's almost unstoppable. Size and length gives you a better chance, but it's still very hard to defend...almost impossible if executed properly.

Honestly... Size doesn't matter. It's all about the player.
You can have a stud CB at 5'9 or have a stud CB at 6'3. Busts come in every diff shapes and sizes (pun intended). So do stars. All that matters is if the guy can play.
And both have strengths vs weaknesses. Usually the taller CBs play a little off and defend against the taller vertical threat WR. The smaller guys are a bit quicker and can play a true bump and run coverage a little better. This isn't always true for all players... But I find it true for the most part.
Plus, you gotta look at how the WR has evolved. Now most teams have a WR1 that is 6'2+ that is long and great vertical speed. And then the slot WR tends to be smaller, quicker, and does most of his damage on their short hot read routes. And the you have the WR2 who is a blend of both guys and does the middle. So, naturally, the CB position has evolved to stop them.
But the main thing that matters is he the dude can play. Regardless of size. I'll take a stud at 5'9 over an ok 6'2 CB every day of the week. And I'll take a stud 6'2 CB over an ok 5'9 CB. Doesn't matter as long as you can play.

He's partially right, but his measurements are off by about an inch.
There aren't many CB's 6'2+". And even less in 6'3" range.
6'1" isn't as rare.
6' 2.5" is about the cutoff. That's where guys like Sherman, Cromartie, & Asomugha fall.
there's maybe 1 or 2 CBs officially over 6'3". Sean Smith & i'll leave room for 1 more cause i cant think of any others

Sean Smith is a stud. And I completely agree hes extremely underrated. To the point where a lot of fans dont know who he is.

Because every WR is like Randy Moss.... come on. You still have your extremely quick and versatile slot guys that are just as deadly as those big WRs... Cobb, Harvin, Cruz, Welker, Edelman, Hilton, Antonio Brown, DJax, etc.
And like I said... if the dude is a legit player it doesnt really matter how tall he is.
