I know it was his call but you agreed with his actions so I thought it would be making a scene to you also.
And if he would have opened his mouth at the table, they would have made it right on the spot. I've never eaten at a nice place and then not come by the table after the food comes out to ask if everything is Ok. That's where they can right any wrongs.
