Losing Anthony Morrow is def one of the worse things to happen this offseason. Jeez.

I know but we need to find a way to make it work. This is insane. We are literally allowing guys like Morrow, who helped us win some games down the stretch last season all by himself, go.

He really wanted to come back

If rivers is indeed staying, we have 96 mins and maybe slightly more to divvy between jrue, Gordon, reke, and rivers
Hell, if I'm ok I consider starting him and using Jackson as 6th man again. His 45% 3s are perfect next to Durant and Westbrook

did we even have a way to keep morrow? we had to do a lot of cap hijinks to make the asik deal go thru

Right dude. We just let him go and didn't even try.

We could have signed him to our $2.7 million cap room exception, and BSS is acting like we offered it and Morrow chose OKC because even though the money was in the Ballpark, $3.3 per year, they were able to offer a 3rd year and with the Cap Room Exception we can only offer 2 years.
Morrow was a fan favorite that most PTers wanted to keep, but in reality he was just the 4th guard if this team is healthy, and he's the 4th guard that stunts Rivers growth. The guy eating up the cap space (besides Gordon) is the new starting center Asik. Starting center > 4th guard.

Can't blame a guy for wanting to try and win a championship now. They'll be fine without him.
