Looks nice, shoulda got a DAK though.
Y'all are missing the point - it's a feature, not a bug.
It's absolutely no problem - really - I've put 1000s of rounds through them and the SA trigger will not hurt you - I promise.

I like em alot. They're very nice. Just too expensive for my brain to ever consider purchasing one. All I see is the fine arse revolver I coulda got with that money

Can you have it cocked with the safety on or is the safety also a decocker?

No safety. Decocker only.
(I wouldn't carry it cocked - but, if you don't pull the trigger, it won't go off.)

One of the things I like most about it. Leave one chambered but hammer uncocked.
Just realized it has night sights as well which is awesome.
Wasn't planning in spending this much but its my birthday/graduation present so I said frick it

How hard is it to thumb cock? I've never shot a sig and I don't remember cocking one the few times I held one.

It's not bad - but, again, it's what I'm used to.

Let me have it so I can get used to it.

Uh, no. And I have three of them.
This thread reminds me that I need a P226 - probably the Mk25.
And a P227. And a P239.

Looked hard at the 227 but i wanted a 9mm if I didn't get a 1911. Almost ended up with an FNX 45 but it was too bulky for my taste
Not regretting the mk25 though

Awesome gun, had one then sold it and regretted. Just bought the P226 Combat. Put a SRT trigger in that MK25 ASAP. Its night and day difference.

My P229 is the only one I've ever thought needed the SRT.

Is this where we post all our new guns and think people give a frick?
Posted on 7/12/14 at 7:27 am to Bama and Beer
I haven't bought a new one in quite some time

I have two older p226 (both say made in West Germany)
The are probably in the top five pistols ever made in my mind.
Congrats.

Did you up your price range or find a deal?
I want a 226 but I can't justify spending $900 on a 9mm.

Dr, try to find a used one. I bought one of mine for $500 and the other for $600.

Yeah - I got a factory reburb P229 in the mid-$600s - all metal Sigs are pricey brand new, but the pre-owned market over the past 15 years has made them more affordable.
