So...that game was a bit of a $#itshow.
Cou trying way to hard and handing the other team counterattacks.
Way too much space quite a few times - the inability to defend in those situations will haunt us all year.
On the plus side - we really look like we're getting close to clicking. A lot of passes a half step behind or just a bit too far. A few miscommunications - things that will get better as these guys play together over time.
Brian McBride rode Swag pretty hard post-game. He's right - SWag will not give us the movement that we had with Suarez/Sterling/Sturridge last year. But he does do a great job holding the ball and laying off a lot of good balls to others from that. I'm sure BR will try to get his movement up to par, but also keep some of the other things he brings.
3 points, thats the important part.

FYI for those who get BeIN sports, the Liverpool-Middlesbrough fixture is on tv Tuesday 3pm central.
