Sergio Aguero missed three decent chances against Burnley and missed a fricking penalty against Barca. Sturridge has a been wasteful as frick since coming back from injury. RVP and Falcao can't hit the broadside of a barn for Man U. Costa and Giroud average the exact same goals per 90, Costa does it in fewer shots so technically he's a better finisher, but getting off shots is a skill.
If you want to argue he's in an unsustainable good run of form since his return then fine, but there hasn't been a better forward in the epl over the past couple of months. That's just a fact.
ETA: maybe Kane. Although then you factor in Giroud's combination play and defensive ability on set pieces, which we missed drastically when he was out.
