Jindal suckered once again by startup???

Who can forget Jindal and Moret committed millions of state taxpayer dollars to the Al Gore car company proposed to start up in Monroe. Thankfully it never came to pass. How stupid does one have to be to invest in a start-up car company?? It's a mature business dominated by some of the largest companies in the world. History is littered with dead car companies but Gore and Jindal were ready for Louisiana taxpayers to tax the risk. I doubt either of those two men intended to invest any money in the venture but they were perfectly happy to commit our money.
Well it seems were headed down the startup path again.
The headline reads "Silicon Valley Startup Bringing 350 Tech Jobs to LaFayette".
The governor is pictured with the founders.
It is a four month old company.
It's headquarters is in California and they will not reveal how many employees they have except to say it is in the "double digits". Readers are reminded that 10 is a double digit number.
Critically thinking readers have to wonder just how a four month old company with "double digit" number of employees can convince Rhodes scholar Governor they will bring 350 jobs to his state.
I will investigate how much money you and I will have invested in this company and let you know.

I was wondering how they'd fit 350 employees in a 200 sq. foot lease space.
Maybe most will work at home. Hopefully home is in La.

How many years will we pay 35% of these people's salaries???
This may be worse than film tax credits.
No limit. They could work for 40 years at a million dollars a year each and you and I will pay 35% of their wages.

that company received over 90% of its money from private sources. the small amount it received from the state was paid back

Nope V-Vechicle Company. Major figure in the start up was Gore. I think Boone Pickens too. They were trying to tap the federal program Obama had for alternative energy. I think the state committed $50 million. I am not sure on the number.

We didn't put all Jindal committed because it never opened. He had our pocket book open. There is no denying that.
