how far west of pensacola can you see the show? is the show over the gulf or bay?
we're thinking of going to johnson beach on the east end of perdido key, which would put us about 12 miles west of pensacola beach.

Are you wondering if you'll be able to see the
show from 12 miles away?

They used to be in Biloxi every year. The show is amazing

Don't waste your time trying to see the show from afar. Go on base, it's open to the public. It takes place behind the museum. Here's the schedule. LINK Johnson Beach is too far away. Then tour the museum after the show.

The base is the best place to watch them. I lived in Pcola for a year and going to the base is pretty fun. You can walk on some big bombers and see pretty neat stuff. As far as the show on the beach, get there early and make a day out of it. It's pretty fun, just be ready for bad traffic if you're not staying on the beach there.

we're not interested in traffic, but don't mind spending all day. that's why we're considering johnson beach. it's about 4 miles from the base across the bay

^This. Watched them and several of their practices while TAD at NAS Pensacola. If you get the chance, go to the museum...one of the best there is!

Don't they do a run through Saturday before the show on Sunday??

You will see nothing other than them periodically turning around over you.

They typically do several before the show.

Best aviation museum this side of the Smithsonian. Will not disappoint.

I wouldn't even attempt going on Saturday by automobile unless I was staying in the island.

You might also try Ft Pickens Natl Park across from the base

I love that museum. We always visit there when we spend the weekend in Pensacola. Unfortunately we're never there during the week to get to see a practice, but I'm thinking of making a day trip with my son to one of them this year.

If we go, we can drive down Friday night and be on Johnson beach by 8:00 a.m. when it opens
