Hey look at that a big dose of FEAR! Then an ask for more money. You people will throw away your rights and enable the security state if the right fear button is hit.

You folks grabbed the headline but didn't pay attention to the rest of the article. SOUTHCOM wants more money. They want the money for their HAP efforts and for FMS program. That funding means the commander can do things in country to help the population. They want the money, they'll use this to get more funding. Then you'll see the US building more police stations in these countries, building centers for these kids to live in, etc. I'm sure the SOUTHCOM Commander believes what he says but the result will be US dollars going to these countries. I'm not saying that is a bad idea, sometimes you do have to go to the root of the problem. But so many here have issues with spending money on illegal immigrants, well you'll see the money spent on them in a different way with this scenario.
