I personally would never hunt those animals...but those hunts do way more good than bad

the legitimate hunts are generally conducted on National Parks. The Park services closely monitor the animal populations there and a guide goes along on all hunts. generally they cull older animals that need to be taken out. It is a win win for everyone involved and generates a great deal of money for the parks to aid the wildlife there and prevent over population.
