Once the playoff structure is in place for a couple of years, the BIG 12 will see that they need a championship game to strengthen their league's chances of making it to the 4 team playoff. The selection committee has already stated that this will be a heavy factor. In a few years the BIG 12 will have to expand IMO. They have options, they just need to be willing to accept a couple of outsiders. To name a few options:
Cincinnati
BYU
Boise St
Utah St
Houston
New Mexico
Also, football is king in collegiate athletics. With that in mind, there is no way UConn is going to let their brand sit in a conference with (in all due respect) ECU, Tulsa ect ect. UConn will eventually be in the B1G or the ACC. They understand the $$$ of all of this. They are losing millions by being in the AAC. Now that Louisville is in the ACC, you can bet your arse that UConn is actively looking for a new home.

I feel like UConn would be a good fit for the Big Ten, myself. They aren't AAU, but they're still a very good school. They have a beautiful campus, great basketball program, and is an infinitely better athletic program than Rutgers. Of course there's the problem with Connecticut not bordering a Big Ten state, and I don't see Syracuse leaving the ACC so... yeah. I guess I wasted a post here

UConn to ACC might not be much in FB, but BB in the ACC would be staaaaaaacked

None of these teams will ever be in the Big 12.

The question is does a conference want them? Looks to me the ACC told them and West Virginia no. But they will be find in the short run, they will probably be in the Top 5 in revenue this year, their Big East payout is close to $30 million.
