His PER36 numbers have stayed relatively the same in the last 3 years and that's why people tend to not include him in the superstar PG category.
He had rough start last year which skewed his stats for most of the year. Teams were doubling him off the pick and roll to force a pass. Mike Brown tried to run the offense through Bynum and then Tristan Thompson.. it was ugly.

1. Paul
2. Westbrook
3. Parker
4. Curry
5. Conley
6. Rondo
7. Wall
8. Healthy DRose
9. Lillard
10. Kyrie
Hes borderline 10ish, but I wouldn't take him over guys 1-9 on my list.

The only counterargument to this is Parker is going to sit games out and we have absolutely no idea what Rose is going to be like. He wasn't that great when he came back.
I'd say Kyrie is top 10, but bottom half for sure.

I agree.
Kyle Lowry had a higher PER, too, and Isaiah Thomas was essentially the same player statistically, only slightly more efficient.
Either way, he's definitely not top 5

Regardless if Parker sits out games or not, hes very deserving of top 4.
As for Rose, its all about health. Honestly, his athleticism before he got hurt last season was great.
I think had he not gotten hurt, his game would've eventually came around in the 2nd half of the season

Conley? And a healthy D Rose is top 3 easily.
But a healthy D rose no longer exists!

2011 Rose is top 3. But we won't ever see that again. Provided that he stays healthy, he will be a top 10 guard in the league for a while.

Conley?
Conley's PER was near identical to Kyrie Irving's last year.
Conley is also one of the best, if not the best, defensive point guard in the NBA, according to many metrics.

Healthy D Rose is at least the third best point in the league. Really the only guy I'd definitively put ahead of him is Cp3.

Meh, still give me Westbrook and Curry over him. Rose is basically the same player that Westbrook is, but with a larger potential for injury.

I really want to start a thread asking for biggest winners/losers in this year's free agency period, but I would kinda like to see where Love/Bledsoe/Monroe land first.

Westbrook is essentially healthy rose without the long range shot and rose is more willing to differ despite being the best scoring option on his team.
Curry is tricky. I absolutely love a versitaile scorer, especially one who can knock down a shot anywhere on the court while still being selfless enough to pass to others. My only concern with him is that while he has improved his defense from atrocious, it still just teeters between below average and passable. Rose will never be the shooter that curry is (the guy is a top 3 shooter so no insult in the slightest), but curry will never be the defender that rose is. Both can effectively and efficiently score 20-25 a night while dishing 7-8 assists as well. I'd really put that at a push. It'd honestly depend on the make up of the team.

I don't know why everyone says Curry. He had to sit out final minutes on defense vs the clips because his defense wasn't hood enough to be in.
Offensively he is a star but then so is Lillard.

That and Lebron. I'm trying to imagine this place without his supporters and haters, and I just can't do it.

Right.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around how Minnesota hasn't taken the alleged deal that's on the table yet

Detroit Pistons president and coach Stan Van Gundy reached out to forward Josh Smith to tell him that reports of the franchise engaging in substantive trade talks with Sacramento centered on Smith have been inaccurate and – barring an unexpected turn of events – Smith will be in training camp with the Pistons this fall, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
