Bottom line is that both characters behaved poorly.
Speeding is not a behavior (noun- the way in which one acts or conducts oneself, especially toward others.)
Sam was totally respectful to the trooper. Can't say the same about the trooper re: Sam.

Hell I don't think the cop did anything particularly wrong. Was probably scared shitless. Wasn't taking any chances with that big mofo.
Come on...You're a moreauxn if you don't think the cop did anything wrong. He was saying the orders so fast and so bad that Montgomery couldn't even follow him and then he threatened to taze him within 30 freaking seconds of Montgomery getting out his car and slamming his door (yes, I looked at the time too). Hell, I was nervous and couldn't follow his directions and I was watching it relaxed at home on my computer while waiting for my 19 other porn tabs to finish loading (kidding). Seemed like he was trying to provoke him...
No, he shouldn't have been going that fast and I understand if he had to pull him over and get him out of the car, etc. But basically it's a typical cop overreacting to a person going fast on a deserted road to nowhere (where everybody and their grandma surpasses the speed limit except the houlier than thou hypocrites).

Cop got what he deserved.
And this is another example of why all departments should be outfitted with cameras & not bomb resistant armored personnel carriers,etc......
Had Montgomery been tased or simply made a complaint about this officer most would have given the Officer the benefit of the doubt. A very small minority even defended the Cop after seeing the video.
Like the Ryan Moats situation I am simply surprised they were fired as I guess I have the perception of Cops closing ranks on seemingly more major violations.. But Cops like those guys make others jobs more difficult.

Reminds me of the firing of the cop who pulled the gun on Ryan Moats & wife for running a red light to visit dying mother in hospital .

If you're scared, find another profession before you or someone gets hurt.

The South Carolina state trooper who arrested NFL defensive lineman Sam Montgomery at a traffic stop last June has been fired, state officials said Friday.
The Department of Public Safety said in a news release that Lance Cpl. R.S. Salter was terminated for violating agency policies including conduct unbecoming a state employee. Salter stopped Montgomery in June when the Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman was returning to his home in Greenwood.
Montgomery was arrested and spent a night in jail after Salter clocked him going 89 mph in a 55 mph zone. But the trooper's dashboard camera obtained soon after by The Associated Press also captured the officer threatening to use a Taser because the 6-foot-3, 262-pound lineman was struggling to understand his commands.

hats off to the department for auditing themselves and catching that shite...
I appreciate all of our LEO men and women but unfortunately some have a big ego problem. I know some good ones and have been treated well by most. Did get stopped in I-49 doing one mile over. Lady cop was all business and quite a jerk.
