Tim Quarterman
These are the two I could think of, however that doesn't leave us very much in our 1-2 rotation... I haven't seen him play recently enough to really judge but I felt like he looked okay on the perimeter in his SR year when he was playing AAU ball. Though I know those highlight tapes can be misleading.

Is he someone who could make an impact this year or someone who needs to be developed? I don't know much about him besides that he was highly touted his early years of HS then fell off once he stopped growing. not immediately i don't think, but its definitely quality depth.
He is a much better athlete than most people think; strong upper body; quick off the floor. He can score inside against taller opponents. Good defender and solid rebounding technique. Should be an every-game contributor by mid-season IMO.

Glad the NCAA decided to take a year on this

I think although under sized he can play a little

What worries me is that his game in HS predicated around him being the biggest, most athletic guy on the court. That won't be the case in college and, at least in high school, his range was limited to a 5-foot radius around the basket and now he is expected to play at the 3?
He played the 3 his senior year at Scotlandville and won the State Title MVP. He's still got some adjusting to do, but he has played on the wing some.

Needs to slim down and get a perimeter game.
Glad he's on the team nevertheless.

I am not sure how big of a contribution he will have, especially because he hasn't played organized hoops the past year
Saw him at the Chimes in March. Dude better drop about 60 lbs if he wants to be a 3 in college. Needs to go play football

Can't Epps play the three?
No, not even close

After early signing, Johnny remarked in a radio interview that he was going to try Epps at 3 first

We might as well try Quarterman at the 2 while we're at it.
Never going to work.

Don't disagree with you, just repeating what the boss said.

I'm sure we'll try lots of things, but Epps playing the 3 in college is just a nightmare. Any 6'4 guard would abuse him. Most colleges just play a 3rd guard at the 3.
Jarell Martin is athletic/quick enough to attempt to cover that kind of college 3. Epps, not so much.

he wants to play there
lot of combinations they can use next year depending on matchups.

No one is forcing us to play a traditional lineup, I am sure the personnel will adjust according to matchups. If someone went 3 guards, I think that will help us get our best players on the court anyway
