CAD, what's your method for training for a long ride? Like a century?

I have a few months, and am trying to figure it out.

just get on the bike.

hit group rides on the weekends (if you can)

try to do some efforts (any climbs in your areas?) during the long rides and recover/keep going.

by efforts = riding as hard as you can comfortably for 3 of so minutes, then back off. try to do 3 or 4 of those during a 40-50 mile group ride.

centuries are usually pretty easy with all the rest stops along the way assuming you're not doing Cherohala or 6 Gap.

where is the century?

honestly, you could get in shape for a century in as little as 3-4 weeks of riding 15-20 miles a day and 50+ on the weekends.
