I think both teams play very defensively and timid, knowing just a tie gets them both through. I say it ends in 0-0 or 1-1 tie.
The Portugal-Ghana game is more likely to be high scoring since both teams need lots of goals. But I think Portugal comes away with the win. They need something to salvage from this world cup and are playing for just that.

Yeah I guess that's right on goal differential, so let's amend it to say they do not at all want to back into the round of 16 by losing to the U.S. They are going to play to win, every bit as hard as they did in the first two games besides possibly taking their foot off the gas earlier.

I just don't see that. We, for one, cannot hope to keep Germany off the board by playing timidly. Defense isn't solid enough. We need to make them worried on defense.

I think Cristiano and Nano will be out to prove something and will wreck shop against Ghana's weak defense. I could easily see 3-1 Portugal.
