I'm looking for someone who took BADM 790(IE) and went on the excursion to Australia last year... Is there an easy way to search on here for a post on that class?

Graduation fees hit the compass system today. I have no clue why sending us a diploma costs $50, but it's the final fee!
Grand total of $15921.39 paid to LSUS in tuition and fees for 11 classes. Add a few expensive books from before they went to free resources and maybe another $1000?

Hi mtntreks,
My guess is that it covers any future official transcript requests, which are "free" now. My undergrad university started doing it too.
Congrats on almost finishing!

@Winchester12, I notice that she added more pages.
Chapter 7 was 15 pages and Chapter 8 was 35, when I logged back on Monday it 7 was 52 and 8 was 80plus pages. It"s 1:02 am in DC and I am still ready Chapter 8.
The writing assignments are difficult but I find them easier than the quiz.
I just can not retain all this information, I continue to get 30point.

Mikegor85 I agree it is a lot! After I bombed my first quiz I started reading and highlight important information, then right before the quiz i re-read only the highlighted material. It has worked out pretty well for me but it is time consuming.
I fully plan on figuring out exactly what she's referring to in the tips/hints she gave us.
This week would be a perfect week to just take a bye week on the quiz, knowing that your lowest quiz gets dropped. Unfortunately I can't do that.

Hi Cin8. Thank you for responding. I have a number of questions regarding the trip..was it worth the cost, was there also coursework and tests, is it only 2 weeks for the entire class or do you have more coursework to do before and after the trip, how were the accommodations? I could email you off of tigerdroppings if you like...

Same here. Have a page or two to go. 20 pages of mostly repeating the same thing over and over again. There's simply no way to put good quality work in the time given it's not an established product/company with a wealth of information out there. My focus now is just completing the course. Constantly have to remind myself only 3 more weeks.
The thing that I've realized in writing papers for school, which does not apply to the real world is that a quality paper is defined as one that meets the rubric, follows APA/MLA, and has solid grammar. Quality of actual content? Often less important. Write a top notch 5 page paper, 70%. Repeat the content 4 times for 20 pages, 100%.
YMMV

Hello everyone:
I want to congratulate all the graduates or soon-to-be graduates. One can very well imagine all the hard work, sacrifices, and commitment/dedication you must have put to get there. Hats off to you all and may the world be your oyester now!

I have been admitted to the program and will be taking my first course this Fall ’18 AP1. I still can't see the open classes yet. I am told to wait for a few more days. Can anyone share a degree roadmap or planning worksheet, something that shows which professors to take, which classes to pair, and which ones to keep alone?
I see 701s for ACCT/FIN/MADM/MKT in the pdf course schedule for Fall AP1 but don’t have any visibility on which ones are still open with the good professors. Can anyone please share some advice?

Also, I am from Dallas, TX area (precisely Plano- CDT zone.) Is there any LSU's local chapter which organizes meet ups/events?

Hello. I'd advise to just read the previous forum pages here and you'll find answers. Many students have posted course/program reviews, which to pair, etc..
Registration started I believe in April (?) so many summer/fall classes may be filled but you can get email notifications setup when openings occur (whether they open more spots/people drop/etc..)
You should be able to see open/full classes here whether you're logged in or not: LINK

Welcome to the program. In terms of courses and recommended professors, please see this thread. Go to google and use a search something like "site:tigerdroppings.com lsus ambrosio"
In terms of what classes are still available, go to compass.lsus.edu and use the search function under course schedules on the main page without logging in. Just select fall, graduate, status open, and AP1 or AP2.

Thanks for the detailed info! I am only seeing BADM 790 for Fall or even Spring 19. Is it actually true that LSUS online MBA is sold out for the next 12 months? Can't be, right? Am I making a mistake somewhere?

The program is not sold out - you are just too early to see the classes. Wait a few weeks for this session to end. In the mean time back up to roughly page 250 and read forward to this page. There are a lot of recent posts regarding class difficulty, amount of time required, and professor selection. Best of luck to you. It's a great program.

That's relieving! I have started making notes from the last 30-50 pages for tips/guidance. I am also interested to know more about the Int'l Experience (overseas immersion.) Please do share the value, cost, coursework, arrangements on it if you gather more info. Thanks!

Out of the 7 core courses, does each course require weekly group assignments or just a very few of them?
I work 65-70 hours weekly, and some outside hours escalations/emergencies too. I will try to take the more group-intensive courses around vacation/holiday season. I will appreciate if someone can identify which courses were more group-focused.

Apparently part 2 of the MKT701 project is another 20 pages (maximum). The nerve...

MKT701
It seemed like an easy test this week. I know people are unhappy with the amount of reading, but I'm really digging her straight forward questions and non-repetitive reading compared to other professors (Wren).
As to the project, I'm just going to keep telling myself there are only three more weeks to this insanity.
