Google Windows 7 DOS compatibility mode.
Google DOSbox - DOS emulator for multiple platforms. (Although mostly used for playing old DOS games),
Best answer: Upgrade your POS software. Running 20 year POS DOS based software on 20 year old Windows 95 platform I'm surprised no one hacked your entire system.

It helps that it isn't online as far as the hacking goes, and we are pursuing upgrading the software this winter as it wouldn't be too prudent to do so right now in the midst of our busiest season.
Everything seems to run fine as far as compatibility goes, it's just slower than I expected what with the tremendous upgrade in ram and processing power. I may have to revert to the old machines until we get the upgrade in software. Bleh.
