Anyone ever paddle a Nucanoe?

Found one for a descent price on CL. They are a canoe kayak hybrid. I like it because I can paddle it by myself and I can also take my son when he wants to go. They are also super stable. Just looking for some opinions. LINK

Only guys I know with them have trolling motors

That would be fantastic with a trolling motor on it.
I didn't look at prices but, I'll bet they are costly. Probably well worth it.

The trolling motor would be a plus. They retail about $800-$1000 new. The one on CL is $400.

I have a bad lower back so sitting in a Kayak is very uncomfortable for me. These look much more comfortable and equally stable. Nice looking rigs.
$400 sounds like a great deal. I would jump on it of you are looking for a set up like this. I would try to verify that it isn't stolen.

Have a friend that does duck hunting videos and all that crap and recently picked up nucanoe as a sponsor. Seems like he likes it but of course he's sponsored to say that

I have been looking for something that I can take my 8 year old son out fishing and be able to paddle by myself when he doesn't want to go. I think it will have enough room for some camping gear too.

Maybe you need a ganoe.

$400 is a STEAL for a nucanoe.
They are very stable, hybrid boat but it also has scupper holes.

I can't find where this model has scupper holes. It's the 12' classic. That's the only thing I am not sure about.

I own a 12' one and I like it a lot. Very stable and easy to paddle. I did get a seat with a back on it and that really helps out. I also bought the wheels that clip on the back and it makes it easy to transport. $400 is a steal.

How does it handle solo?

Handles solo just fine. More of a kayak than a Canoe.

They handle just fine solo. It's not fast but as mentioned very stable as Yaks go. Mine weighs in @ 93 lbs. I'm old, so now if I can't get it close to the water, I put it on a trolly. I have a Walmark swivel seat mounted in mine and it's great. I'm 260 lbs, so I haven't attempted to stand in it. I initially had the 40lb Minn Kota Maxim, with rudder pedals on it and it was excellent. You could adjust it down to a snails pace. I like to fly fish from it. The controller went bad, so I cut the motor off and added a rudder to the shaft. It gets a little aggravating in the wind when you get good fish on. I most likely will purchase another Maxim unit for it from here: LINK /
