LSU did that while playing in the toughest division of the toughest conference in college football.
Auburn won a national championship, went undefeated and got left out of a title game, and lost in another title game.
Alabama won 3 titles
Also having to play Florida every year, who won 2 titles.
So of those 11 years, LSU played 7 games against the eventual national champion and 2 more against teams that appeared in the title game or went undefeated. In 11 years, the SEC West produced 6 National Champions and 3 runners up.
Not to mention Arkansas, Ole Miss and Texas A&M have made appearances in the top 10 during that span. Mississippi State may have been a doormat for that entire period, not sure on that.

This chart puts a grin of my face. I absolutely have no idea how anyone can say that the man doesn't know how to run a hell of a football program.
Let's win another one for you coach

As i said in another thread last week. I wish there was a ranking of the strength of schedule the last 10 years too. That would make LSU that much more impressive.

Bingo.
Give us Bama's regular season schedule during this time frame and we have probably 5 more wins and another title, for sure.
Also, take away the 4-5 blatantly fixed games during this time period, and there are more wins there.
This past decade plus has been amazing.

11 Seasons: LSU avg. 10.6 wins per season.
discount Boise State schedule , LSU and OU tied for #1 in wins.
Top15 schools, only 7 won a NC in past 11 Seasons.
