Vehicles parked on your neighbor's lawn can increase your home's value?

an upscale vehicle, a 300k motorhome, or a 32ft yellowfin parked in a neighbor's yard raises the value of your property
anyone agree with this?

Wow, I must have hit a nerve.
Again, sorry you bought in a shitty neighborhood and can't take responsibility for it.

If the grass is 2 feet high and gutters are falling off house, an 8 series in the driveway won't do much for the bank appraisal

Their yard, or their driveway?
Situational, but I could agree to an extent.

No.
1) I'm guessing you mean driveway. A car parked on any YARD will make the whole street look trashy.
2) Generally, houses are of similar value on a block. So if your neighbor can afford a fancy vehicle, either you should be able to as well, or, he is up to his ears in debt.

Don't get sucked into this troll. The only reason this thread exists is because I hurt the OP's feelings on the OT. He made a thread bitching about people parking on the grass, only to later reveal it's because he is cheap and bought a house in a rental property neighborhood next to a college campus and now can't fathom why his house isn't rocketing up in value.

Wouldn't buy in that neighborhood

I almost posted the link to your butt hurt thread, but then I remembered this is the money board. And it is a safe haven from trolls and petty arguments. So please leave this board.

If you cant afford a place to store it you shouldn't be buying it. Either your neighborhood sucks or your neighbor is a dumb arse. My guess is both.

Yeah, if you can afford a $100k boat, you can afford the monthly boat storage fees. To me, if I see someone with something like that in their yard, I think that this person is blowing money on things they can't properly afford before I think that this is some super fancy neighborhood. I make fun of my cousin all of the time for this. I call him a redneck millionaire with his offshore rig parked on the street in front of his house.

I think that way but found the exception in Houma. I've found some neighborhoods with nice houses and toys with money to back it up.
