Even though I think it's a crappy decision by the manager of the apartment complex, it should be within his rights to make such decisions as the owner of said complex. The same should have held true for the Colorado bakers and the Arizona photographer.

They didn't have a contract with the strangers off the street, so it's not really the same thing.
Renters have rights, so if there is nothing in his lease that prohibits the flag and how it's displayed, he has the right to contest it. Otherwise, he signed an agreement that would win over his desire to have the flag.
