meh, I follow a couple of blogs, but for the most part, I check the sales adds every week and combine coupons with the sale.

For example a local grocery store that starts with a W, has dial soap on sale buy one get one free. There is a coupon out for buy 2 get 1 free. So, the deal is, you buy 6 of them, use 2 b2g1 free coupons, pay 3.99 for 1 and get 5 free.. so it ends up being .66 each.

I try to stockup on body wash from free-.50/each but that is a good price for dial bc I find it is more expensive and its something my husband had to use bc of his skin.

Last week, another local grocery store had hot dogs on sale for .69 each. There was an in ad coupon that said "get a free pack of buns when you buy 2 packs of hot dogs". There was also a coupon for .55 off of 1 pack of hot dogs.. So I basically paid .28 for 2 packs of hot dogs and 1 pack of buns.. shite was insane... I think I ended up getting 60 packs of hot dogs and 30 packs of buns. Gave the buns away to family and threw the hot dogs in the freezer ;D

Heres two recent hauls:

6 boxes of General Mills cereal, 1 gallon of orange juice, 3 suave shampoos, 2 dove shampoos, and 6 dial body washes.. Paid $6.92 for all 18 items... Or $.38 each !!!

and the hot dogs:

basket full- Paid $7.56 for 57 items... 32 packs of hot dogs,16 packs of buns, 8 rolls of toilet paper, and one root beer.

I am not going to read the replies.....but almost positive this has been typed... Focus on cutting expenses.....you make good money.

My expense cutting:

Storage unit 100 a month
Gym (doing outside things now) 55 a month
Golf - I am cutting back on golf 150 a month ( my true money pit)... Keeping my course membership....cutting on the trips to other courses.
Buying more groceries, eating out less - the plan is to save 75 a month
Bumping the AC up to 77 when no be at the crib (getting programmable thermostat. - can't quantify savings
Going with brita filter instead of bottled water - 20 bucks a month
Skipping a MLB game this summer and going to two minor league games instead - 200 savings
Cut back on dry cleaning - 40 bucks

It adds up - I want 1000 shares of XOM in 36 months - doubt I will get there but the cost savings will help me acquire more....i need another 690 shares.....

Somebody's (not naming names here SpicyStacy) household eats the Frick out of cereal.

You all got horses?

Or adolescent boys.

Mercy.

Thanks for sharing your tips. Sorry we couldn't get you Debit Card number from the receipts pictured.

You're going to be a wealthy man one day. Ignore the snide remarks.

Unless you're trolling, which I kinda suspect, then anyway for a good troll

See...this is what I don't understand about coupon cutting. I can get loading up on things like toilet paper/shampoo/deodorant. But all of the food that you end up loading on is just awful for you.

6 boxes of sugar cereal and tons of hot dogs. I would rather just spend extra money than put that in my body.

Haters gonna hate.

Oh so you've never eaten sugar cereal or hot dogs before??

Those 6 boxes of cereal will last us 6 months so I think you're going a little overboard bro. I didn't buy 50 of them. And to do the deal u had to buy 6, cheaper to buy them this way then purchase one at a time at 3.00 each

And the hot dogs don't go bad in the freezer. That will last me over a year.We have parties and use the hot dogs for bbqs so I feed that trash to everyone else, no worries.

Fwiw, they have extensions for Chrome that automatically tell you about deals when you purchase from the interwebs.

Little update. After one full week im bringing in about 50 bucks in cash home every night after a 3 hour shift. Then making the hourly rate for the time im there. Those numbers have gas factored in. I haven't used my bank account in a week to buy lunch or gas during my real fill time work and i drive over 100 miles a day. Honestly im glad im doing this and see it as a great way to earn some easy extra income

Are you responsible for the withholding/income taxes on tips? Or is that something the pizza place does for you?

They withhold all taxes on credit card tips for you. I dont claim any of the cash tips. I would say my ratio of credit to cash tips are about 3/2. They also pay 28 cents a mile which helps a lot. So tonight i drove 65

miles and made about 19 bucks, paid to me at the end of the night along with tips. No one could ever know what you were tipped in cash so i act as if i got stiffed

Progressive tax rates, just because it's a minimum wage type job doesn't mean he's paying minimum wage type taxes because it gets stacked on top of his other earnings.

That's great if it works for you, but my free time is way more valuable to me than that.
