First time and it won't be the last. Food was delicious.
I had the cubano and ordered a side of potato salad. The sandwich was HUGE (could easily split with another person) and piled high with pulled pork, ham, and melted Swiss. Bread and butter pickles gave it a nice sweetness in contrast with the Dijon mustard.
The housemate chips weren't an after thought and were executed and seasoned well. The potato salad was also solid. Could have used some more salt and pepper, but a good side.
The interior was clean and the offerings in the deli case looked good. A smoked pig smell greets you when you walk into the door.
It was pretty busy and people were steadily coming in. Plates going out all looked good and the owner (young, thin, white guy) was walking around greeting and talking with customers.
And of course, inb4 Sysco

Glad to hear they are doing well

Because I assumed he was the owner and was describing him in case I was wrong.

We go about twice a month... have been for the last 3 mths. No problems, good food. Dude who checks you out is a tad weird, but hey.... i didn't go to spend an hour with him so it isn't that big of a deal.
We went last week and got the brisket special. It was pretty damn good, brisket was juicey and had good smoke... I'd get that again in a heart beat.

The guys that work there are sharp young pros who "get it" in my opinion. I think it's a cool operation that is different for BR

Yup. That's normal.

City pork is awesome but it blows my mind when people say the sandwiches are big enough to split. Maybe in a glutton bit I only split a sandwich if I get a meat plate and cheese plate to go along with it.
I'll be straight up and say that I'm a pretty big glutton. I had to physically force myself to eat the other half of the sandwich and would have taken it home if I wasn't running more errands.
There was probably a pound of pulled pork on the sandwich alone, not counting the ham, cheese, and bread.
All the sandwiches were pretty big and from glancing around the dining room, most had half their sandwich sitting on a plate to take home.

I go fairly regularly but the special is sold out everytime I go. I
And I'm going at noon, not like 2 pm. Sandwiches are decent, but no Butcher. Not much creativity with them. Portions are legit though, no complaints there.

One big sandwich, chips, potato salad, and an iced tea ran me $15. To me, it was worth it.

Last time I went we ordered the nachos, 2 sandwiches (Big Pork and New Yorker), wedge salad, and a bacon-cc cookie. I ate all of the nachos, 1 1/2 of the sandwiches, and all but a tiny bit of the cookie, plus I had 2 Swamp Pops. I definitely wouldn't call their sandwiches "huge" or big enough to share.

Then they must have addressed the portion sizes. I'm a big eater and all the sandwiches I saw were fat

It's all good man, I just have a big appetite

I'm excited to go back and try a different sandwich
