All I know is I've been getting mother fricking solicitors calling from magic jack numbers a few times a day and I'm about to shake a baby

I use magic jack and have been getting a lot of scam calls. I didn't really consider it to be a result of having magic jack, but maybe it is.

Magic Jack is pretty dirt cheap for the hardware and subscription. No issues with it personally, but I just use it for conference calls when I work from home.

I used to get half a dozen calls a day like that. I can honestly say that I can't remember the last one I got. Probably six months ago. Callcentric has features that let you block virtually all of the spam.

BTW, I ported my original land line number so the reduction in spam wasn't due to having a new number.
