I think that this is a very plausible potential outcome. Republicans have made a major effort to look for high-quality women congressional and senatorial candidates, and putting a women in a top leadership position would send strong signals. Whether that is the right thing to do is, of course, subject to debate, but I suspect that there will be some interest in KMR.

CMR's stock fell with her response to the SOTU, which wasn't terrible but didn't provide her with any real groundswell of support.
