You do realize that just because someone has mercury within it, it doesn't mean it is inherently toxic.
That isn't how chemistry works.

Im more on the fence on this topic....but the fact remains while while nuclear waste is a problem, relatively very very little of it is produced.
Enough to make it easily possible to store it indefinitely even if nuclear power is used on the continental scale.
