That's what I'm saying. It's the people that use expensive gear as a status symbol. Outdoorsmen used to not be like that and I don't like it. Buying a 4-wheel drive truck and growing a beard and painting your face then buying a yeti doesn't mean you know shite about hunting.

y'all ain't got too much in your life to be worried about, if this really bothers you? so what? I roughed it in the 50's and 60's, if I or anyone can afford what we WANT/NEED now, why should that bother you?

Yeah, I don't get the status symbol stuff myself.

Just because something is more expensive, and may be a better product doesn't mean it's the right product for you. I got this advise once buying a computer and it hasn't failed me since.

Don't spend $2,000 on the most advanced laptop on the market if you're just surfing the web and making word documents. I find this suits me in every day life.
