A friend is a medivac helicopter pilot in the Fl panhandle and they do runs up and down the beach regularly. He says the the beaches are normally swarmed with sharks.

go snorkel just off the surf zone... you'll see them....
big ones, little ones, medium ones....

This is why you should feel safe swimming. If they considered us prey they would attack us all the time. Most attacks occur in low light or water with bad visibility....mistakes by the shark.

Yep. I've flown the beach in a small plane before and they are everywhere. Frequently very close to people who have no clue. The sign plane pilots say its like that every day. As someone said, if they bit people on purpose no one would ever get in the water.
