Suzuki gets really good reviews. They just are not marketed as well or have as many service shops down here.
Not trying to be argumentative, but there's a difference between "reviews" and reliability. People rarely post negative comments about the truck, boat motorcycle, gun or outboard that they own.
The fact is you won't find many guides or professional anglers who run Suzukis. Just like you won't find many LE agencies that issue Hi Points.
Just sayin'.

Is this different than the fuel filter? How hard is it to get to? Did you do it yourself or take it somewhere?
It is diffent than the fuel filter. I took it to a local guy and he had it back to me in a week. He said it was fairly common but the tiny screens were expensive.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Suzukis that we take offshore. Methinks you drinks the koolaid.
ETA - The Suzukis have been more reliable than the Mercs and god-awful OMC engines I've run in the past.

check the fuel lines and the ball.
you could have an air leak. Happenned to my old shitzuki. The leak was on the hose inside the gas tank.

Check the bulb on the line from fuel tank to engine. If it has a leak and will not maintain pressure it will cause what you describe.

Bulb is maybe a month old. But pumping the bulb had no effect on the speed/rpms

I had a few other small things done and it was around $600-$650. I don't have the bill anymore.
