I hope that we have a better baseball team in 2015 and that they gel together at the right time and make a deep run.

none of those teams were in our position. the only one close to our position was IU. Parity had jack shite to do with LSU losing the clinching game and then being railed out in the winner take all game.

winning 4 out of the 5 regionals
4 out of 5 super regionals is a lot. Is it possible? Sure. But to expect that every rolling 5 year period is kind of a little crazy. Thinks happen in baseball and even the great teams don't win their regionals necessarily. Look at freakin Florida this year. Or Florida State. Even if you have the best team in the entire country, you could still lose in a double elimination format.

sec tourny/regionals every year
I do agree with this.

hosting 4/5 regionals
I think LSU should be close to managing this one as well.

id be ok with 1 or 2 trips to omaha in the 5 year cycles
I would even go so far as to say they should be in Omaha 1-2 times every 5 years.
I just don't think that we should expect them to win 4 out of every 5 regionals they play in.

I guess USCe, UF, FSU, Rice and other #1 seeds all have shite coaching?
You need to step back, look at the obscure teams that have advanced and realize the parity in CBB today. It's difficult, and on the verge of impossible to fulfill your dream of annual CWS appearances.

That is completely unrealistic and ridiculous.
No he's completely right. Very few athletic departments have invested in their baseball program the way LSU has. LSU absolutely should be going to Omaha almost every year. Not every single year, but LSU should make Omaha more often then not.

It's not the '90s. More than 5-6 teams give a shite about baseball. Adjust your expectations accordingly.

if we are at home and hosting we should be winning them. Also I'm pretty sure before this year FSU had a nice streak of wins in regionals they were hosting. even if we said win 3 out of every 5 regionals PM would have failed in this cycle since he has only won 2 out of the 4 we were in. I didn't say 5/5 because sometimes shite happens or bad coaching moves are made.

I don't think this was a National Championship caliber team.

None of this is relevant to making it to Omaha.
You don't need the best facilities in the country to make it to Omaha.

I think making to Omaha 4-5 times a decade is realistic. Anything else isn't these days honestly.

Ah, gotcha. I'm so immune to his dumb face now that it doesn't phase me anymore, I guess.

Given the money pumped into college sports, I honestly think ADs and Coaches should be held accountable just like a pro-sport coach would. It's not like they aren't being given the resources to win.
If they want to be paid at or higher than some pro coaches, then they should be held to the same or higher standards when it comes to their teams performances. Unfortunately, coaches just get excuse after excuse along with stupid guaranteed contracts.

You know absurd this is, right? We made it to Omaha 7/10 times in the 90's when there were about 5 teams that gave more than 1/3 of a frick about baseball. So you're essentially saying anything less than 6/10 times is not acceptable?

How are they not? Pro coaches are not expected to be in the Super Bowl every year. How many times has Sean Peyton coach in the Super Bowl? I'm pretty sure that he could coach in New Orleans for the rest of his career.

In the last 10 years, I think maybe UNC has done this, but not this year after getting dominated 18-6 in 2 games by lowly LBSU.
Stony Brooks and meltdowns abound these days.
