The NHL's top draft prospect is unable to do a single pull-up at the NHL combine

Sam Bennett is an extremely talented hockey player.
If he weren't, NHL Central Scouting wouldn't have tabbed him as the No. 1 prospect entering the 2014 NHL Draft.
Scouts found out this weekend, however, that upper-body strength is not the 17-year-old's area of expertise.
Bennett, who racked up 36 goals and 55 assists for the OHL's Kingston Frontenacs this season, failed to complete even one pull-up during testing at the NHL Scouting Combine in Toronto.

Dude will get the shite beat out of him in the NHL, he weighs less than acreboy

I don't understand how that's possible if you aren't fat.

Just looking at the dude and his arms it's pretty sad that he can't do a single pull up. He looks skinny but not Ethiopian skinny. Brah's got to work on those lats.

Knowing the combine was approaching, he didnt practice pull ups?

Just remember, Gretzky was a skinny, lanky lil sucker when he first started in the NHL.

No that no if deal imo. If he is as good as projected its not like he will ever gave to fight.
He will get killed on the boards but the good ones know how to use the boards to their advantage.

Usually shite like this doesn't matter, but seriously....that's pretty damn sad

That's incredible. I know nothing about hockey but I'd think a decent slapshot would require at least some upper body strength. 0 pull ups? Do aspiring pro hockey players generally not work out at all? I would think just being out on the rink constantly playing a contact sport would give you average strength unless you were just a completely inept athlete.

Even I can do pull-ups and lost a tooth to a mail box once - but can't skate for sh#t.

If he can skate, pass, shoot and handle the puck who cares if he can do a pull up? KD is super weak and he is pretty good at basketball, this kid could be the same way in hockey.
