The Original Thread
Long story short... my daughter was born at 29 weeks and was 1lb5oz. Her outlook was grim, but she is a fighter. To give you an idea how small she was... my wedding band would go on her wrist and go all the way to her shoulder. Her lungs colapsed severl times. She was in the NICU nearly 3 months before she could go home. We had to protect her during cold and flu season. A common cold to her could have easily been fatal. Well.....
FF 11 months and she just got off oxygen and her heart monitor. We are about to celebrate her 1 year birthday party this weekend. Shes near 16 pounds which may seem small for a baby her age but its leaps and bounds from where she was. She is 100% healthy and starting to crawl. Just wanted to update the OT. You're harch some of the time, you're funny most of the time, and y'all have a heart of gold all of the time.
Ok, go back to NSFW threads motherfrickers!

That is great news brother.
I had a sister in the same type of shoes, but she wasn't as fortunate. Take good care of her.

Awesome story. Two of my kids were extremely premature. Not that small, but pretty small. Awesome to see how big of fighters they are.

as a father of a special needs son, I am estatic to hear her doing so well. she will (already is) be a special person! one day all these obstacles will be a thing of the past, great to hear her progressing so swiftly

That's awesome
Y'all invite her primary NICU nurses to her party?
I don't work NICU on a regular basis but I know those NICU nurses get attached to their primary patients and love getting updates and pics to see how much their patients have thrived and grown.
My cousin's twin girls were ex 25 weekers. Now they are 10 years old and healthy as can be. You would have never guessed the struggles they had so early on in life.

Awesome news! I've often wondered about how that turned out as well, but didn't want to ask in case the outcome wasn't good. to Little Random Hero!
