We went yesterday.
Had the smoked fried oysters with garlic aioli from Grand Isle. I remembered having them last year and they were delicious. They did not disappoint this year either. This is the only thing I have ever had from Grand Isle and I understand the rest of their food is underwhelming. These oysters are really, really good though.
Wife got the crabmeat ravioli from Andrea's and it was straight up disgusting. The ravioli itself had some potential but it was in a bowl of a bland cream sauce, almost like a soup. Just wasn't very good at all. Wife hated it and we ended up feeding it to our 2 year old. I'm surprised he ate it.
We both ordered the oyster boudin egg rolls from Superior Seafood. I also ordered one of the pork boudin egg rolls. These were served with a spicy pepper jelly and a spicy mustard sauce. They were pretty good. I probably enjoyed the pork a little more than the oyster.
Overall it was a good day. We mainly went out there to see The Mulligan Brothers and they did not disappoint.
