Yes, he was safe. Close play, but safe.

He would've gotten away with his initial reaction and griping....It was only when he kept it going as he walked away and turned back a seocnd time for some more mouthing when he was tossed.

He had a legitimate gripe, but he carried it on a little too long, and hence got tossed.

I didn't get this impression from the 100 replays I saw.

If it was MLB, there is no way in hell they would have over turned the call in either direction. No matter what the call on the field was is the way it would have stayed.
