Private land inside a WMA

Some land was just purchased inside a WMA. The land is right in the middle of the WMA. The nearest road is a mile away. The WMA has only one road in with a gate.
Would the private land owner have rights to come and go through the main gate at any time? WMA rules states the gate closes at a certain time. Or at least you are supposed to be out of the WMA at a certain time.
How about an access trail from the road to the private land? Can one be put in? Who would do that? The state, the owner, or both?
The land has been sitting idle for many years witout anyone on it.
We had a few acres years ago in a Federal Wildlife area. It already had a makeshift road in place. I know they gave us access to our land but the access was already there. The way in and out also was not trough a single point like the WMA mentioned above.

In AL, no one, including the gov, is obligated to give you access if your property is land locked.

I have no idea on land locked rules etc. the old land we had already had a road in place and we were granted rights to walk through to our land

Not my land. The current owner is getting the details on all that. I'm just trying to find out what I can before I hear back from him.

It may depend on the agency and the state.
My place in Desoto NF in MS had an old logging road that was not a legal right of way, but we have an agreement that allows me to use it and maintain it.

Apparently this is not so but I always thought a person had to be given a right-of-way.

I did not but a family member did. He is int he process now. I told him to check the details about access.
He did tell me 18 years ago the previous owner logged some trees and had a logging road out in. But that was 18 years ago and that road is most likely covered with trees.
I hunt that area and don't recal a road cut in. The foundation would be there, just need to clar the trees I guess.

Not obligated, but can be made to through a simple legal process.

Don't know about the road but I can't imagine trying to keep people from trespassing. Especially the type of hunter that tends to use WMAs.

I know someone that owns property inside wma in la...
A heavily used one at that...
Hunter don't trespass but the bird watchers do....
And so does one particular swamp tour operator

WMA hunter will be a concern. Enough so that nothing could be built or kept out there. A road to it would increase the risk.
We had a few access in a FWR once and trespasses were always a concern.
Pearl River WMA is the area

Simple. Get a helicopter.

Your biggest concern will be James Madison and the few others that called attention to the fact the range didn't have a buffer zone and caused that area to be closed to hunting...they are in there every day and most likely on your relatives property quite frequently...they feel entitled to anything and everything and do as they please since they have been hunting the PR WMA for so long...

I left a fe comments on their facebook page about their buffer zone ordeal. They jumped all over me and kicked me off.
I hunted behind that range many times.

HoneyslanBatman and IsUcrazy300 never let up on LaSportsman...it's obvious they have an agenda and it's for no ones benefit but there own...
The only valid points I've seen them make and agree with is carrying whatever it takes to kill a hog year round and a year round season for hogs on prwma...but that's where my agreement ends there is too much competition for food sources in there for a healthy deer rabbit squirrel population....and they do not feel the hogs are the cause...they think the hogs help the WMA AND aren't overpopulated...not very bright if you ask me...
