Here are the Facts:
The 2014 Washington minimum wage is $9.32.

Washington's minimum wage applies to workers in both agriculture and non-agricultural jobs, although 14- and 15-year-olds may be paid 85% of the minimum wage ($7.92).

The wage applies to workers in both agricultural and non-agricultural jobs. Although there are some exemptions, most workers must be paid the minimum wage for all "hours worked" as required by state law. "Hours worked" includes opening and closing the business, and required meetings and training. Any time spent by an employee in the performance of these duties must be recorded and paid.

Businesses may not use tips as credit toward minimum wages owed to a worker.

The federal Department of Labor minimum wage is $7.25 an hour. In states that set rates that differ from federal law, the higher rate applies.
Most Washington employers are subject to both federal and state minimum wage and overtime laws. The effect of this dual coverage is that the employer must follow the higher standard, meaning the one most beneficial to the employee, when there are differing requirements in the laws.

The declaration of the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries each September 30 regarding the rate by which Washington State’s minimum wage rate is to be increased effective the following January 1, pursuant to RCW 49.46.020(4)(b), shall be the authoritative determination of the rate of increase to be applied for purposes of this provision.

Read in there some of the details. Every 40 hours employees get 1 hour of sick or safe time. Can be taking anytime they want no questions asked.
Also is an employee wants to add more part time help, they have to promote a part time worker to full time first
$15/hr tied to inflation.
This will all end well for the city

The Sick time they promote is the same as the power company I work for but there is a cap. Safe time? WTF is that? Vacation time?
Yes, this will definitely end well...
Some people might think it is only service employees so big deal except the majority of the people who work in seatac are service employees and no one really lives there....

So what you're saying is employers have decided to penalize their employees for a law they don't like by giving them a net reduction in overall compensation.
That has never happened before. This is definitely news worthy of consideration.
Conservatives should applaud the replacement of 401k's with higher wages. It means the employee is free from the overburdening restrictions of government regulated 401ks and able to invest their retirement savings in sensible things like gold and bitcoin.

Are liberals running businesses out there not managing their costs to the company and owners' best interest? Yeah right. I am sure all of Hollywood is paying all those random people on movie sets millions of dollars just like they are getting because that is how liberals roll.
