dam man dont keep him in a 10x10 pen. If you love the dog let him be happy. You got the dog, deal with the holes. Its not that big of deal. I have 2, they dig.. but its not a big deal

That's sorta what I was thinking. It's one thing if you are a subsistence-hunter or farmer/rancher, to deal with your working dogs in that way, but to get a dog for sport/pleasure and confine him unnecessarily just so he doesn't mess up tour yard seems a little off imo. Train him not to dig.
