don't know why all the Laffy hate, I lived there for a few years and loved it, and would gladly go back, and I've lived in more than a few places

I didn't hear Coachman's comment but he is your classic unintelligent moronic national media POS.
This is the same fricker who repeatedly calls New Orleans his "least favorite American city." When pressed on why he holds that view, he says "it's only one street [Bourbon St] and it's not all that." You know off the bat when someone refers to NOLA as "one street" that you are dealing with an imbecile.
This fricking wrestling clown gets paid to talk on TV and radio so of course he uses that platform to spew tired uninformed cliches. As someone who is from New Orleans and attended LSU, I have no specific ties to Lafayette and I can say it is one of the richest cultural areas I've ever been to with wonderful people and charm. I've literally never been bored there and always found good times, good food, good drink and good people.
frick Jonathan Coachman is my point here, regardless of what anyone thinks of the OP's views on other topics. I will always support and take the opportunity to say frick Coachman every chance I get.

As long as LSU exists, Lafayette will have something to do.

It's "mostly" from Baton Rouge people, from my experience.

I'm not from Lafayette, but I lived there for over 20 years and loved it too.

I know things have changed since I was a LSU, when there basically were no laws, and the strip is probably not the same, but lots of people would got to Mardi Gras in LFT, after experiencing the hassle and expense(for a college kid,) of Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Bars didn't close, women were crazy. It was a party town.

Yeah, it was an overreaction by the OP.

i mean it's not like lafayette is even a destination city in the region (hell maybe not even state). nationally nobody gives half of a quarter frick about lafayette, so a negative comment won't affect anything

It hurt CP3's feelings, though

he's long established that his IQ is around 77-83, though, so i don't know why people care about THAT, either

LSU sporting events are the only reason why I go to Baton Rouge. Outside of that, I can find just as much to do in Lake Charles or Lafayette.
