quote:
we spend the entire movie enamored w his brilliance and we never know what the damn career and job path he chooses in life.
He doesn't know what he wants to do, he does know he loves the girl. So he's going after her and will figure out what makes him happy rather than being pushed into some job he'll hate just because he's a genius. It's kind of a big theme throughout the movie.
quote:
his brilliance and what he was going to do with it was the part I at least was most Interested in
He's going to use that brilliance to make up his own mind. He's going to escape his shitty neighborhood/life expectations while rejecting the shite people were trying to force him into because he's finally free, and strong enough, to go out and find what makes him happy and gives him meaning.
What he specifically ends up doing is irrelevant, the thing to focus on is the shift in his outlook on like, his prospects, and willingness to finally live for himself instead of being confined by his circumstances or the will of others.
