If you thought about it from their perspective you would probably get it. But it's a lot easier when you only look from your perspective, isn't it?

Even if you disagree with their perspective, it's important to permit yourself to step into it long enough to rationalize how your opponents think. Until you really understand them, you can't effectively argue against them.
