I got them for side wall durability. I absolutely don't want to have flat on the trip we're about to go on. I have 8 days of Sierra mountain drives and I need to get back down.

I rode around through sharp pointy sticks all day with D rated Swampers on my Tacoma and they never got punctured. Your life is gonna suck with those tires

That looks like a pretty great trip, if you're driving. I don't think I could ride shotgun bouncing around for 8 days.
