My only child is nearly 16, so we have been talking about buying a used car for her junior year.

I was lucky because a friend gave me a 91 Pontiac Grand Am in 95. I, however, wrapped it around a tree 2 days later. It was totaled! I did not make many memories in my "first" car other than the wreck and the first time I paid for gas ($15 in nickels, dimes, and pennies).

What was your first car? How long did you have it? Stories/memories?

97 Mercury Sable. SOB still runs today and my mom drives it from time to time.

I hit a bunch of shite with it, mailboxes, signs, and bikes but it never stopped running.

1993 Chevy Silverado.

Had it for 6 years and sold it for only $1000 less than my parents paid for it.

First car was a 1992 Hyundai Sonata that wad handed down from my two older brothers. Didn't have it long.

My next car was a 1996 Honda Civic I got in 2002 as a senior in high school. It's still in my driveway but I'm getting rid of it very soon.
