Kids don't need sex ed anymore, there's a huge library of porn on the internet. All your sex questions can be answered on the pr0n tubes

This is ideal, but unfortunately it has failed.

LOL. The BR public schools you all love to discuss so much are a perfect example of why that is such a genius idea

Sad but true. You can probably trace 99% of this country's problems back to parental failures.

do we really want teachers teaching them this?
Back in the day, the boys got "the talk" from the coach, and I guess the girls got "the talk" from some female teacher. Somewhere along the way somebody decided Jesus hates sex education.

Good. I was worried my child would be exposed to a scientific discussion about the primary biological functions of us, and mammals in general.
I like to keep them in the dark, and ashamed/scared of their bodies, if possible.

We have to have one of the dumbest or most backwards state legislatures in the country.

I agree but how much of a choke hold do they have on the political climate in this state?

I'm all for the parents teaching kids about sex and precautions.
But parents are doing a terrible job as a whole so the government needs to step in unfortunately.
Parents can OP their children out if they choose.

At my private school, they gave us sex ed in elementary in a tamer form. Pictures of pregnant teens, video testimonials of kids saying they wish they had waited, etc.
Then in 7th grade they separated the girls and boys and went DEEP. Showed a zoomed in video of a birth happening, showed dicks with genital warts, showed the largest crabs ever seen on a vagina I think, etc.
That shite stuck with us. Know how many kids in my grade got pregnant in MS or HS? Z.E.R.O.
I only know of 1/105 that had a kid in college and she married the dude.

For all you backward arse southerners, here's how 4th grade "sex ed" works up north;
In elementary school, the school nurse (who is full time already, so no increase in costs) takes an hour or two (2-3 days in a row) with all the 4th grade boys and then separately with all of the girls to do "sex ed." They primarily teach anatomy, hygiene, and what changes are coming with puberty. That was it. Everything was age appropriate and probably very beneficial for our disgusting anteater dicked brothers.
In 8th grade we got the this is how babies are made and had to take one of those animatronic crying frickers home (more of an abstinence based curriculum). In high school it was more heavily geared towards diseases and contraception. PE/Health teachers were the instructors.
I can't believe there are people on here who support the state's decision

because of so many teachers being convicted of child molestation, boy oh boy they would have to walk a fine line while teaching sex in the classroom now a days.
back when I was in school, it was taught and any question was "legal". however, today the wrong answer from a teacher can definitely put him/her in prison.
