Shouldn't Detroit have plenty of cap room?

They do have a lot of cap room, but Gordon and Anderson make $14,898,938 and $8,491,500 respectively. That's $23,390,438 in incoming salary. Taking away Monroe and his QO and adding those two would bring their salary to $65,120,150, which is over the cap. As such, they'd have to send out more salary.

If you actually wanted to do Monroe for Gordon and Anderson, I think you'd be willing to take back an expiring Jerebko.

It's an interesting question. What would you give to get Gordon off the roster for 2015 FA?

2015 1st
Rivers
Withey + Pierre Jackson
Swapping Anderson and $5 million in cap space for Monroe.

Maybe we could get Jonas Jerekbo from them? He's 6'10/235 and is at 4.5 mi for the year(a player option)

He's a pretty legit backup PF that rebounds well and can play the 3 a little bit.

ETA: ATL beat me to it
