I found Hot Springs boring even though it is where Bill Clinton is from.

I've never been but it's a kick-arse book.

Organized crime museum
Duck boat tour
The racing season is over, but I think they have slots at Oaklawn if you're into that
They're trying to cultivate an arts scene along the lines of Asheville. There are a few galleries and such downtown, but they have a long long way to go.
The town has seen better days, It used to be a real winter resort for high rollers. It's far from that now, but you can find enough to keep yourself occupied for a day or two.

1. McClard's BBQ
2. The Porterhouse
3. Gangster Museum
4. Garvin Woodland Garden's (Mainly for Chicks)
5. If you have kids Magic Springs Theme Park & Mid America Science Museum.
OT but if you go to McClards and you don't want BBQ try the Whole Spread tamale plate. Think Tamale meet's BBQ frito pie. Your stomach will love you, but later on your butthole will cuss you.

I'll be staying on the lake for three days... Which is all I need, but I figured a night there wouldn't hurt if something interesting is happening

I had two lesbian friends get married there yesterday in Hot Springs. Just throwing that out there.

Did you mean Eureka Springs? I think that's the gay friendly town.

If they get married in Arkansas is the marriage license issued there? Or was it more of a ceremonial type thing?
I wasn't unaware that Arkansas recognized same-sex marriages. I'd have thought that they would be one of the last states to do so, more along the lines of Louisiana.
If they do, that's cool. More power to them IMHO.

Apparently the state started issuing them on Monday. And yes, they live in Hot Springs and got married at the courthouse. I've seen pics on FB but sorry, not gonna share them.
ETA: Is Hot Springs in Pulaski County? That's where the courthouse was.

Apparently a ruling was issued on Friday that struck down Arkansas' gay marriage ban.

Nah, Hot Springs is in Garland County. Pulaski County is actually Little Rock.

Hot Springs is a pretty place but I found it boring as hell also. The bath houses were more creepy than interesting but got really old after the first one you see.
I would just stay on Lake Hamilton and have fun on the lake then make your way to Lake Ouachita state park rent a party barge for the day that lake in beautiful. That was the most fun we had there.
